Clamour (2013)

Site-specific project installed in former kitchen of Fodemesi Shoes factory. Audio recordings of silverware on ceramics are stretched/compressed by Pure Data software patch, and introduced introduced into the space through 10-channel array of surface transducers, speakers and subwoofers installed in cupboards, walls, and ceiling. Computer-controlled appliances designed by media artist Giles Whitaker operate autonomously. The work engages with ideas of labour, consumption, conditioned appetites, and noise.

Binaural audio recording (2mins) from "Clamour" installation. See videos for project description and installation documentation.
